A vibrant, courageous and necessary movement is afoot in our country. This weekend The Movement for Black Lives is hosting a national convening in Cleveland, Ohio.

Many of us are inspired and moved to action. Many of us will not and should not go to this convening, it is an intentional and necessary Black space. As other people of color, as white allies, as Black people who cannot make it to Cleveland, it is important for us to take a moment to harness our love and contemplate freedom on behalf of a movement that will result in our collective liberation.

Our moment of prayer and meditation is a moment of spiritual solidarity. It is in no way a substitute for action. I invite you to become a deep listener, to follow the leadership of the folks who are putting their bodies on the line. I ask you to donate to the Movement for Black Lives.   And I urge you to seek ever more effective and creative ways to disrupt patriarchal white supremacy within ourselves and our society.

This is the time we've been waiting for.
