The purpose of this event is to have fun while putting resources into organizing and movement building for collective liberation. Choose*** the cause you are playing for based on the following criteria:
1. grassroots group or organization
2. engaged in some form of organizing or movement building
3. building toward justice and liberation
4. working locally in boston/new england
THE GAME ROOM
Your Game Room ticket will go towards supporting our five featured organizations! The Game Room will be an open space to play all the games you love and learn some new ones. Games will be self-organized; choose a game from our collection or bring your own. Get to know new people and hang with your friends.
Everyone playing in the Game Room will be raising funds for these incredible grassroots groups: Right to the City Boston, GreenRoots, Mijente Boston, Sisters Unchained and Survivor Theatre Project
Always wanted to learn how to play poker? spades? dominoes? This is the night. Join us for lessons throughout the night.
WHEELCHAIR. Spontaneous Celebrations is wheelchair accessible on the first floor, where our Game Room, food and the bathrooms are located. The second floor, where tournaments and bar are located, is not wheelchair accessible. It's easy to accommodate with tournament tables in the Game Room--just let us know in advance or at the door.
CHILDCARE. Childcare is free, but please tell us in advance with a free childcare ticket.
Any other accessibility requests including language and affordability, please message us to ask or email LiberationGameNight@gmail.com.
***If you've got a question about our criteria or a group choice, just email us at LiberationGameNight@gmail.com!
If you're wondering who to choose, we suggest playing for any local/regional group funded by Resist, Inc. or Haymarket People's Fund.
We reserve the right to deny any proceeds going to groups that don't fit the criteria. (Get that capitalist white supremacist heteropatriarchy sh&t outta here.)
