Men, Psychedelics and Trauma

I write to share this video of a webinar that brings together two of my most important passions, men’s work and psychedelics.

The webinar was sponsored by Canadian Psychedelic Association. It is meant to help us better understand trauma and how it shows up in our bodies and how it impacts our life. Patriarchy does not just perpetuate trauma on others. It actually limits and binds the human experience of those of us who are men.

“Unprocessed trauma is the most significant yet often misunderstood roadblock to health and embodied wellness, underlying the vast majority of mental health, physical health, and addiction issues.”

Psychedelic medicine can become an important (not exclusive) part of our healing. It is a powerful way to create emotionally safe space with other men. And it is this togetherness that makes for the lasting impact of doing this work in ceremony.

Please note that psychedelic work is best done in the company of an experienced guide.

Share this with the men in your life, and remind them that they can join the Better Men Project even if they choose not to participate in our monthly call. Men can sign up to receive a simple newsletter offering reflections on conscious masculinity.

Grateful to the Canadian Psychedelic Association for hosting this important talk. And especially grateful to Pascal Tremblay, CEO and co-founder of Nectara, a psychedelic wellness ecosystem and community, for his wise and gentle moderation. As well as to Payton Nyquvest,  Co-founder, Chair & Chief Executive Officer of Numinus, we are in powerful alignment. Let’s keep going!
